Rescued by Jesus
We’re a group of ordinary people aware that God has generously offered us mercy through his Son! The Bible puts it this way:
“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins” (the Bible - Colossians 1 verse 13).
We keep telling the story and singing the song of how God rescued us through Jesus’ death and resurrection until we all know the words and can join in – like a well-worn nursery rhyme!
Because of the kindness God has shown us, we long to be people who are rooted in Jesus Christ, relate to each other in his grace, and reach out with his gospel.
We know that none of us are the people God wants us to be because of our sin and that we need God’s forgiveness as a daily reality. We gather around God’s words in the Bible to show us what is true, and teach, encourage and pray for each other with the honesty that grace entails. In doing so, we are a small part of God’s big plan to rescue a people, by his grace, through his Son, for his glory.
We’re committed to teaching the Bible and desire to be shaped by the Lord. We offer a loving place to grow and be confident followers of Jesus. We’re an inclusive and caring community whatever your background or experience.
