Our Story

Never heard of Trinity Church Islington? Well, nor had we before 2007, which is when our friends at St Helen’s Bishopsgate decided to send a new church plant to North London. We set out to be a church for local people in N1, as well as anyone within reach of Angel tube station who wanted to join us.

We quickly found a home at a church building called St Mark’s Myddelton Square, just a stone’s throw from the centre of Islington. It’s a historic building which has been there since 1828, and which we share with the parish church who meet there in the morning. We’ve been there now for almost 14 years, and enjoy all sorts of links with shops and estates in the local area, as well as with the Diocese and other Church of England churches across London.

As a growing church, we ourselves had the opportunity in 2015 to send off a congregation to Crouch End. They now meet in the parish church just off Crouch End Hill, called Christ Church. It’s just one of the many encouraging opportunities that we believe God has given us, and we’d love to tell you more. Why not join the story, then, and come and join us in Myddelton Square one day?
